My amazing pohutukawa art

Our class did pohutukawa art. In Inquiry  we are learning the native forest of New Zealand.

There were some photos  of pohutukawas that we had to draw. First we did a draft. We needed to draw the branches not to thick not to thin just right. Our leaves had to be good not to small not to big. The flowers were the hard bit not to long not to short the right length. When we finished we got to do it on real paper. Our pencil out line had to be light and soft then we finished  we had to do hard and dark with
black crayon. With the white it was a highlight when we put the dye it will stand out more parts.

We got to dye it first was the leaves and branches they had green and brown we had to make different colour greens after they dried the flowers. They had to be red only one colour. When the flowers dried we did the back ground  blue and purple it was hard not to get it on the branches and leaves and flowers.

I fell proud of this because I worked really  hard  on this art work. The flowers are the right size. The leaves are different shape and the branches are right size. The most thing that I love about it that it is divine from any one else in my class. The hard part was that to make the leaves the right size and shape. Also the branches not to thin not to thick. I did a lot of drawing the right size and shape.
